A mastopexy reshapes breast tissue that has dropped and moves the nipple and areola to the correct height. Aftercare & long-term tips
Once home, wear the sports bra day and night for the period advised and avoid upper body weight training for six weeks. Continue silicone scar care and sun protection for at least six months, as scars can darken permanently in the sun. The contour settles at six months, with remote follow-up by photograph throughout.

Risks and an honest expectation
The most obvious price of a mastopexy is permanent scarring; changes in nipple sensation that can be lasting, asymmetry between the two breasts, wound breakdown where the vertical and horizontal incisions meet, thickened scars and recurrence of droop over time can also occur. A rare but serious complication is compromised blood supply to the nipple and areola, and that risk rises markedly in smokers and in large lifts. Four smoke-free weeks are therefore required, and nipple circulation is monitored closely in the first days.
